S. L. “Les” Mallow, Jr. is an attorney with Busch, Zurbuch & Thompson, PLLC in Elkins, West Virginia. He earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Education from West Virginia University before obtaining his Juris Doctor and Juris Master degrees from the Appalachian School of Law, where he externed for the Supreme Court of Virginia. Following law school, he clerked for the Honorable James W. Courrier, Jr. in West Virginia’s 21st Judicial Circuit.
His practice encompasses criminal defense, civil litigation, government law, municipal law, and business law. He is admitted before the United States District Courts for both the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia, and serves as a District 12 Board Member for the West Virginia State Bar Young Lawyer Section.
As an advisory board member, Mallow brings legal depth to an organization whose mission — Adequate Representation — is itself a legal promise. His counsel strengthens the Committee’s governance and its work helping veterans navigate the systems that serve them.
